The Pro Varmint has a heavy 16.5" barrel threaded 1/2x28 for use with a suppressor or other muzzle device. Riding in a black-painted laminate stock, it incorporates features found on much more expensive stocks. In addition to the receiver-mounted, push-to-fire safety, we chopped almost an inch of length from the action and slab-sided it to reduce its footprint and weight. The stamped bottom metal of the 455 is gone, swapped for a classy two-piece interlocking system. To make scope fitment easier, we ditched the 90 degree bolt rotation in favor of 60 degree, allowing for larger ocular bell diameters with lower ring heights. To top it all off, the 457 now features a trigger adjustable for weight, creep, and over-travel.

The CZ 02359 457 Pro Varmint SR is a full-size bolt-action rifle chambered in .22 LR. It features a 16.5-inch black threaded barrel with a 1/2-28 TPI thread pattern and a 1-in-16 twist. The rifle has a black nitride finish, a black steel receiver, and an integral 11mm dovetail for optic mounting. Sights are not included.

This right-hand rifle uses a detachable five-round magazine and has a listed capacity of 5+1. Its fixed Boyd’s black painted laminate stock includes checkering, a recoil pad, and swivel studs. The 13.75-inch length of pull supports a consistent shooting position, while the two-position safety provides a straightforward manual safety design.

The CZ 02359 includes an adjustable trigger and a drilled-and-tapped receiver. Its bolt-action configuration, threaded barrel, and .22 LR chambering make it suited to users seeking a rimfire rifle with an adaptable platform. The rifle has a listed overall length of 35.25 inches and a listed weight of 7.30 pounds.
