The Springfield Armory® XD(M)® Elite Tactical OSP Semi-Auto Pistol is an enhanced version of the standard XD pistol that improves ergonomics and accuracy. 3 interchangeable backstraps allow shooters to customize the XD(M) Elite's grip to the size of the individual's hand. Aggressive mega-lock texturing provides a secure grasp of the weapon in adverse conditions, and enhances control, while the long, deep slide serrations offer a solid grip when loading or clearing the weapon. The 4.5", threaded and hammer-forged barrel sports a durable Melonite® finish and a fully supported and polished feed ramp for flawless feeding. The Match-Enhanced Trigger Assembly (META™) offers best-in-class trigger pull, and features a trigger safety for a safe, reliable pull when intended. An integrated grip safety further inhibits accidental discharges. An articulated safety lever built into the trigger blade backs up the grip safety. A loaded chamber indicator and striker status indicator give both visual and tactile indication whether the gun is loaded and ready to fire in any lighting condition. 3-dot, suppressor-height steel sights provide rapid sight acquisition, while the optics-ready slide cut readily accepts a variety of red dot sights. An integral rail on the frame allows the attachment of aftermarket tactical sights and lights.
