Collect No. 5 is a MeanDuck machined from "Gadsden" yellow acrylic from Deadshot Polymers.
Featured on the barrel is the infamous coiled rattlesnake above the phrase "DONT TREAD ON ME" found on the Gadsden Flag designed in 1775 by American statesman Christopher Gadsden during the early stages of the American Revolution.
In the current tariff war, the Gadsden Flag can be viewed as a symbol of economic independence and resistance to external control. Just as it represented defiance against British rule during the American Revolution in the past, it can now be seen as the mark of a nation's determination to protect its economic interests and sovereignty against unfair trade practices. The message of "DONT TREAD ON ME" parallels the stance of standing firm against economic pressure and asserting control over domestic markets and trade policies.
As mentioned before, all calls from our Collect series are numbered and only one production run will be made. Once they're gone, they're gone!
The MeanDuck is a loud and aggressive single reed J-frame style call. It brings that crunchy, "hybrid" style sound to our line of calls. It’s much easier to operate than a cutdown but still packs that raspy deep tone of a cutdown. The MeanDuck is compact and responsive, delivering the full range of rasp that today's duck hunters expect. The unique bore system we built into this call delivers a lot of punch while retaining enough back pressure to allow for ample forgiveness when air presentation is less-than-ideal.
